- Chutney
- 1 cup fresh coriander leaves
- 1/2 cup mint leaves (optional)
- 1 green chilli (can be increased as per your taste)
- 1/2 lime juice

- 1 cup moong dal
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- as needed Water
- Assembling
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 1/2 boiled beetroot finely chopped
- 1/2 tbsp Chat masala
- 1/2 tbsp cumin powder
Steps to make to make Dal sandwich
- Firstly take a pressure cooker, wash the moong dal 2-3 times, now add water, salt and turmeric powder. Close the lid and cook untill 3 -4 whistle. Let it cool and then with the hand blender blend dal, add water if required. Keep the consistency thick. (Keep this aside)
- In a mixer jar add fresh coriander, mint leaves, green chilli and with very little water grind it. Once done add little more water and make thin consistency, remove it in a bowl and add salt and lime juice. Mix and keep it aside.
- Now take one bread slice, apply some butter on it and arrange potato, beetroot, tomato and cucumber on it, sprinkle some salt and black pepper powder. Now take another bread slice and put on it.
- Next take a sandwich griller put little butter on it and toast the sandwich from both sides till golden brown.
- When the sandwich is ready, take a serving plate, put sandwich in the center and give a desire cut (4 squares or triangles)
- Now add a spoon full of dal (use serving spoon), spread chopped onion and chopped beetroot, also put the chutney, sprinkle some cumin powder and chat masala & it's done. Repeat the process with the remaining stuff.
